WHAT IS RECREATION THERAPY?
Recreation Therapy is a therapeutic intervention that utilizes recreation and leisure activities to address the personalized needs of individuals coping with injury, disease and disability. The therapy is designed to restore, remediate, and rehabilitate a person’s level of functioning and independence, with the overall goal being improved quality of life.
The profession of Recreation Therapy is nationally recognized by the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA). The profession in Ontario is counselled by an association known as Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO).

At Restore Recreation Therapy, we help individuals with potentially limiting conditions improve their quality of life using recreation and leisure as a means of healing. After an initial assessment, an individualized treatment plan will be curated to meet the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional goals of the client.
